What is the average GMAT score for French people?
Many French citizens want to know how they compare to other French GMAT test takers. The below chart will give you an idea of where you are compared to French GMAT scorers. The below chart also shows how many French people have taken the test in each of the last 5 years
Year | 2004-2005 | 2005-2006 | 2006-2007 | 2007-2009 | 2008-2009 |
Men | 1,731 | 1,561 | 1,546 | 1,701 | 1,974 |
Women | 815 | 803 | 874 | 873 | 1093 |
Mean total score | 548 | 553 | 559 | 561 | 558 |
The average score of the 180,000 people that took the test last year was 539 meaning that French people did a little better than average. Unfortunately, there are no statistics available about the number of French people getting better than 700 points. However, if you're French you should keep in mind that your competition isn't Americans or English people but rather other French people since schools want diverse classrooms. Thus, I have had many French students that managed to get into to 10 MBA programs with scores around 670 for women and 690 for guys.
